Like a sponge, Darlene has absorbed and exercised these lessons in her own life.
With a history of Senior Management positions in the Retail Industry, up to and including General Manger, Darlene decided it was time to put her Entrepreneur skills to work. She was co-owner of 2 Special Care Homes for Mentally Ill Residents in Moncton, NB. In 2006 her and her business partner sold both of these businesses and started another Company “383 BUYS” and started flipping houses providing great starter homes for people looking for move-in condition homes.
Darlene has been involved in Real Estate transactions totaling over a million dollars. Darlene and her business partner were the first Canadian students of A& E “Flip This House” TV stars Than Merrill & Paul Esajian, of CT Homes and Fortune Builders.
Her latest new business was in March 2010, a newly constructed 20 Bed Special Care Home again for Mentally Ill. This would be the second new building of this designation in New Brunswick for people under the age of 65. A much needed facility indeed.
In her spare time, Darlene co-founded of the Moncton REIO (Real Estate Investment Org.) She is active with several committees in the Moncton Area. With all her successful business experiences she has always been someone to give back to the community being a volunteer for many organizations.
After partaking in “Train the Trainer” with T. Harv Eker, Darlene chose to change her life once more and this is where her passion of taking to the stage began. First she combined her love of video and coaching and started up the company "got2minutesvideo.com", where she coaches other Entrepreneurs to develop their own “2 Minute Info Video” about their business and providing them with an online video presence.
For Darlene Speaking is "Rewarding" and her goal is to make learning FUN!
Darlene is enjoying her experience with Toastmaster and has completed the Competent Communicator program. She is a member of the Riverview Canusa Toastmaster Club.
